AfterWords for Kids and Teens
There's plenty happening at AfterWords for young readers and writers alike—plus, we're starting a youth mentorship program for writers between the ages of 14 and 18 in Nova Scotia.
Kids' Day/Journée jeunesse
Our Kids' Day/Journée jeunesse programming welcomes 12 authors (3 French, 9 English) to the Halifax Central Library on Saturday November 4. Kids from infants to 12 years old can get their Kids' Day passport filled out, hear readings, eat popcorn, and have fun. Learn more about this free event and register here.
Youth Mentorship
We're developing a mentorship program for young writers in Nova Scotia. We'll match two young writers with a professional writer who can mentor them in aspects of creative writing, presenting their work, pursuing education and training opportunities, and more.
Applications open October 1 and close November 24, 2023.
